Blue Strawberry


This was for my March post but I got behind - I used Prairie Schooler leaflet Christmas Strawberries but wanted a blue and silver so stitched it on a pearl linen and used a variegated blue thread DMC adding beads instead of the 'berries' finishing with silver ribbon and blue felt 'leaf'

    I love the blue strawberry. I just picked up this pattern this past weekend and would not have envisioned it with different colors. I will definitely have to try these patterns with different colors. Thanks for reminding me to keep an open mind about colors and to "think outside" the published pattern / colors.
