May ornie

Here is my May ornie. I think that I may have missed the month of April SAL because I was busier than all get out at the time. This one is called "Emblem of Friendship" and I found it in JCS 2006 Christmas Ornaments.

A Colonial Christmas Ornament

Latest Finish: 17.04.08, A Colonial Christmas Ornament

Here is my latest ornament, "A Colonial Christmas Ornament" by Cherished Stitches from the 2007 JCS Ornament Issue. There are a few things about this piece that I should mention: First, instead of beads I chose to do French knots for the holly berries. Second, the date and the holly on the third panel are stitched over one... on 36 count! Third, I am especially proud of the cording that I made. After two or three years of making my own cording, I finally made a length that has uniform tension!

My March ornament

This is Cherished Stitches' Colonial Christmas Ornament from the 2007 JCS ornament edition. It's a three-sided ornament and I finished it off with ribbon and a bell.

Finally!

The picture's not quite as clear as I thought *lol* but I finally finished another ornament! This is Cherished Stitches' from the 2006 JCS ornament issue and is for an ornament exchange.

Guess I better get busy on catching up for me. ;o)

March in April

I know I'm late again. I stitched this ornament in March(!), but now it's finally finished. It's Emblem of friendship (Louise Henderson, Cherished Stitches; JCSCO 2006), finished as/like(?) a pinkeep. I like these quaker-designs very much. They are so clear and simple but never boring.

Nicky, would you be so kind to change my blog-link. The new blog-link is this .
Thank you very much!

Dani's Last Minute March Ornament!

Its been a busy month and I realized yesterday... I hadn't stitched one yet this month! So while I spent part of the morning waiting to get my foot x-rayed (just dislocated my big toe... no break) I stitched up almost half of this and did the rest this evening.
