These are my first ornaments for this SAL. My father died in January suddenly and so I wasn't in the mood to blog.
Today I show you two of the Prairie Schooler "Blackwork angels". I used a very dark wine-red thread instead of black (Anchor 72). So, I think, they look a little bit more friendly but still like grave angels. (The linen is Weddingen, approximately 32ct.)
I enjoyed all your ornaments and your finishing variations. But I didn't comment because my English is so bad and I'm afraid of disgracing myself...

Your angels are lovely! I think the colour change that you made is perfect for them. And you write English very well - much better than I could attempt to do in any other language.
Beautiful angels! And I would have never even questioned your English had you not mentioned it! It's great.
I am so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your father. Do you have family and friends around you to help adjust to your loss?
These angels are lovely, and I really like the color change you made. Black angels are just too somber.
Your English is great. You should see my Dutch - it's painful!
