3 Ornaments for January

I'm just a little slow posting, but here are the ornaments I stitched for January. My goal is to stitch atleast 3 ornies each month. I am going to give them all to my grandmother as part of her Christmas present.

Stitched on 28ct white linen over 2. Pattern is from JCS 2006 edition. I used some floss from WDW instead of what the pattern called for. I can't remember the designer at the moment. I finished it by using a metal finishing form and some cording I purchased.

Second, "Christmas Chorus" from Elizabeth's Designs from the 2006 JCS Ornament Edition. Stitched on 36ct light sand Edinburgh linen with the suggested DMC floss. I love how the mill hill beads are used as berries on this piece. It's my favorite of the 3. I think I will finish this into a flat tuck pillow ornament.

Finally, "Christmas Cardinal" by La-D-Da - also out of the 2006 JCS Ornie Edition. Stitched on 30ct Cranberry Bog linen by R & R Reproductions over 2 with the suggested fibers. It will eventually be finished into a pillow ornament.

My grandmother LOVES birds, so you will probably see quite a few ornaments with birds from me :)

Great finishes! I love them all, but my fav is the La-D-Da cardinal. He's on my "must stitch" list.

They're all wonderful Hannah. Your needle must be smoking from the work out you're giving it. =)
